Apaan Mudra (The Healthy Posture)

The use of Apaan Mudra is very Important to remain healthy. This Mudra works to remove Toxins from the body. This Mudra balances our excretory system and purifies our body. Although there are many Asanas and Pranayam which help purify our body but to reach topmost level in meditation, extreme purification is required. This can be possible by practising Apaan Mudra after Asanas and Pranayam.

In religious way actual meaning of Yoga is the combination of Pran and Apaan. To reach topmost level in the Yoga, combination of Pran and Apaan is essential. Practise of Pran Mudra and Apaan Mudra regularly, every day, leads to balance of Samatva in the body.

Procedure: Place the tip of Ring finger and Middle finger at the tip of the Thumb. Keep other two fingers simply straight.

TimeLimit: There is no time limit for doing this Mudra. You will get more benefits the more you practice this Mudra.

Benefits:

  1. By practicing Apaan Mudra we can easily remove toxins from our body.

  2. With regular practice of Apaan Mudra we not only remove toxins from our body but also can get feeling of purification.

  3. If anyone is facing problem of no perspiration from the body, he may suffer with various type of diseases. With the practice of Apaan Mudra one can start perspiration within few days.

  4. Apaan Mudra is very effective in all ailments of our urinary system. This Mudra immediately provides relief in case of person facing problem in passing of urine. If anyone is not able to pass urine for a very long time, and not getting relief from any medicine then this Mudra should be practiced for 45 minutes. It provides positive results without any medicine.

  5. If problem of urine is of recent then this Mudra gives amazing results and cures the problem immediately. This Mudra may not provide relief if the person is facing prostate problem.

  6. This Mudra helps in curing all Kidney related problem.

  7. This Mudra helps in making our Heart Stronger.

  8. This Mudra also helps in curing Gastric Problem.

  9. In case of person facing problem of Constipation and Piles he should practice this Mudra daily for minimum 45 minutes.

  11. To control Diabetes Pran Mudra should be combined with Apaan Mudra.

  12. With regular practice of this Mudra we can get rid of problems related to Mouth, Nose, Eyes and Ears.

  13. This Mudra also provides relief to females during their Menstrual Cycle. It controls bleeding and reduce pain during Menstrual Cycle.

  14. If person is experiencing Burning in Hands, Legs or during Urination, Apaan Mudra should be practiced.

  15. This Mudra helps in controlling Low Blood Pressure.

  16. If navel is displaced then by practicing this Mudra it can be reset to a proper place.

  17. With this Mudra we can increase capacity of all the organs of stomach.

  18. This Mudra provides relief in the pain of Migraine.

  19. In case of problems of Hiccups, Vomiting and Nausea this Mudra provides relief.

Imp. Note: How to combine two Mudra:

first practice 1st Mudra on both the hands for 15 minutes and immediately practice 2nd Mudra on both the hands for 15 minutes.

Shiv Ling Mudra (Cold Cure Posture)

Mudra is extremely beneficial during the winter season as it increases the heat in the body. During the practice of this Mudra one should intake lot of fluids which may include drinking lot of water, taking juices.

Procedure: Shiv Ling Mudra can be formed by simply trapping all the fingers of both the hands with each other and keeping one thumb erect (Right or Left). Right-handed person should keep Left Thumb erect and Left-handed person should erect Right Thumb.

Time Limit: This Mudra should be done as per requirement and should not practice merely on wish.

Benefits:

  1. If person is facing extreme cold then he can get relief by practicing Shiv Ling Mudra. In the extreme cold atmosphere if this Mudra is practiced for a long time there are chances that person may experience perspiration.

  2. This Mudra generates Heat In the body hence it helps in removing cough related problem. It helps in curing all cough related problems i.e. Cold, Sinus, Asthma, Pneumonia, Pleurisy, Tuberculosis or TB.

  3. If person is suffering with Acute Cold since long, this Mudra is proven to be very effective.

  4. During change of weather people faces lot of difficulties. With practice of this Mudra one can make his immune power stronger which in result will help in keeping disease away. This also improves functioning of Lungs.

  5. This Mudra helps in removing excess fat from the body, improves digestive system.

  6. This Mudra helps in reducing Allergies from the body.

  7. It also helps to regulate the flow of Menstrual Cycle. If Menstrual cycle stopped at very early age or if the flow is low then this helps to regulate the cycle.

  8. This Mudra helps in reducing sexual desire in the woman. They can easily practice celibacy (Brahmcharya) with the help of this Mudra

Caution: If a person is suffering from Stomach Ulcer or Acidity, should avoid doing this Mudra. This Mudra should be practiced only till the problem is persist and should not be continued thereafter.
