Mahavira's Scripture Of Health: [13.04] Contemplation and Health - Using Will Power

Anupreksha [contemplation] and Svasthya [health]

One formula of anupreksha is the use of will power. Will power is a mantra. The person, who has made a sincere resolve, has found the solution to his problem. It is said that one seeks the protection of the deities in moments of difficulty. What is this protection? It is the use of one's willpower.

We can hardly say today how many people are following the practice of Anathi muni. A person who seeks such protection, uses his will power and such a miracle happens that one cannot imagine. It may seem that a particular problem is becoming very serious today and the next day it may seem that there is no problem at all. The problem, which appears serious automatically, gets solved. The person concerned wonders how it could have happened. Is such a thing possible? As a matter of fact, the use of will-power is a miracle.
