Mahavira's Scripture Of Health: [05.03] Who Is Ill? - Who is Unhappy?

There is third principle regarding this. Mahavira was asked, "Who is affected by unhappiness, the one who is unhappy or the one who is not unhappy?"

Mahavira said, "One who is unhappy is affected by unhappiness. One who is not unhappy is never affected by unhappiness."

In terms of the modern medical science or the system of diagnosis, this point can be stated as follows: The one, whose power of resistance against disease is more, is never affected by unhappiness. But one, whose power of resistance has declined, whose immunity system has weakened, is affected by the disease. The person with strong resistance to diseases and a strong immunity system is not affected by the disease I even when he is surrounded by germs and bacteria.
