Mahavira was asked a question, "Oh, Lord! What is the benefit of concentration of the mind?" Mahavira said, "The chitta remains under control by concentration of the mind". The surging impulses of the chitta would become purified. It is necessary to pay attention to what comes from within. In the field of medical treatment, we pay more attention to external factors. The factors leading to illness are both external and internal. The external factor resulting in a particular illness is clear before us. We must pay attention to the internal factor at the same time. If we give full attention to it and go beyond the mind and reach the point of the purity and sanctity of the emotions, the science of health can attain greater heights of achievement and there can be novel development in the field of medical treatment.

The doctors take E.C.G. which measures the waves resulting from the functioning of the heart and the brain. Whether the E.C.G. measures the waves of the functioning of the heart or the brain, the alpha waves are an indication that the things are going very well. The conclusion based on beta-theta is different. Just as we measure the waves of the brain, it is also possible to measure the emotions with the help of the equipment dealing with the abhamandal. Some attempts are being made to grasp the abhamandal. Some machines have also been developed, with the help of which it is possible to know the colour of the abhamandal. On that basis, it would also be possible to go to the root of any particular disease.
