ācār ātmā ca samanvitau staḥ,
tatraive vīraḥ khalu dṛśyamānaḥ.
sā bhāratī vīrajineśvarasya,
trāṇaṃ mama styāt saniuvāca bhikṣuḥ.
1] The discipline and the soul synthesised provide the vision of the personality of Lord Mahāvīra. Acharya Bhikshu invoked the commandment of the Lord Mahāvlra, the Jina, to protect him.
bhikṣorvacāṃ si prathiiāśayāni,
cakre jayo'sau vijayāya bhūyāt
śrīkālunoptaṃ ca vikāsabījaṃ,
prāpnotu śaśvat śataśākhirūpam..
2] Let Srimad Jayacharya who exposed the essence of the words of the great Bhikshu lead us to victory. Let the seed of the development shown by Acharya Shri Kalugani flourish eternally as a peepal (the holy fig-tree) of knowledge with hundred branches.
bhāṣyaṃ purā saṃskṛtabhāṣieṣu,
viirrnitaṃ labdhamihāsti vijñaiḥ
ācārabhāṣyaṃ mahanīyamuccaiḥ,
gīrvāṇavāṇyāṃ kuru puṇyakāma!
3] (Acharya Tulsi inspired me:) "Already available there are bhāṣyas composed in the Sanskrit language by learned people in ancient times. Compose in the language of the gods, a highly laudable bhāṣya on the Ācārāṅga Sūtra, O Mahaprajna."
ācāiyastulasī prabodhakuśalaḥ saṃkalpamalpetaraṃ,
prāduṣkṛtya nijātmabhāvarucibhiḥ saṃprerito'haṃ mudā.
tat kiṃ bhāti bhuvastele sulalitaṃ yat preraṇāṃ sadguroḥ,
saṃprāpyālpamatiśruto'pi manujo na syāt frame sārthakaḥ?
4] Skillful indeed is Acharya Tulsi at awakening the ability of his disciplies. He was pleased to reveal his great resolve to inspire me by his inner sentiments to compose the Bhāṣya. Is there any more wonderful event, on earth then this, that a man of meagre intellect would not succeed in his efforts, even when inspired by his great grace in his mission?
cūrṇiṃ cavṛtti samavekṣya samyak,
‘joḍaṃ' jay ācāryakṛtāṃ prapuṇyām.
sūtraṃ ca sākṣāt pravidhāya bhāṣye,
jātā mah āprajñamanaḥpravṛttiḥ..
5] After proper scrutinising the Cūrṇi and the Vṛtti and the sacred ‘Joḍa' composed by Srimad Jayacharya, the fourth pontiff of Terapanth, and completely comprehending the basic sūtras, Mahaprajna (I) concentrated his mind on composing the bhāṣya.
catvāriṃśattame varṣe, dvisahasre nabhasyasau.
bhāṣyāraṃbho'bhavat puṇyaḥ, pure bālotarā'bhidhe..
6] The sacred composition of the bhāṣya was started at Balotara town, in the 2040th year of the Vikrama era.
saṃpūrtirasya saṃjātā, hisāranagare vare.
navamī caitrakṛṣṇasya, tricatvāriṃśati śriye.
7] It was completed for the welfare of mankind, in the town of Hissar on the 9th day of the dark fortnight of Chaitra in the 2043rd year of the Vikrama era.
