This incident occurred 25 years ago. Bhimrajji Tater had his business in Tihu, a village in Assam. Once, he had to cross a river. So he hired a boat and started for the journey. Suddenly and most unexpectedly the flow of water increased. The boatman lost his control on the boat and seeing that his life was in danger, he jumped off the boat. The boatman did not think even for a moment about Bhimrajji who was on the boat. Bhimrajji did not know swimming and he thought that he was surely to be drowned. He could not think of anything except the name of his Guru, Acharya Bhikshu. He started praying. He knew that Bhikshu was his only saviour. He was a great devotee of Bhikshu. He was engrossed in chanting the Mantra, “Om Bhikshu Jai Bhikshu”.
As his voice, uttering the Mantra, grew louder, the flow of water started decreasing. Though he was on a boat which had no boatman, still the boat on its own was set to float in the right direction. It reached the bank of the river. It appeared as if some unknown power had driven the boat, and he came out safely from the danger. All this was the miracle of his devotion.
