Sadhvi Vinayashreeji (Dungargarh) along with her group was going to spend their Chaturmas in Shahada. After leaving Bingdor, they reached a small village named Tada. They searched for some shelter but couldn’t find it. They had a guide with them who talked with villagers about this. They advised them to go 3 km ahead where there was a village inhabited by primitives. They could get the place to stay over there.
The villagers wanted to get rid of them, so they directed them towards the next village. The nuns and the guide could not discover their evil intention. The roads were extremely hot and their feet started burning. Without caring for such hardships, they continued their journey.
Tired of hunger, thirst and hot weather, they reached Bilkheri. They asked for some shelter, but got a negative response. At last with great difficulty, they got a small room where the five nuns could not sit together. They thought of moving to another resort but it was too far. It was night-time and even the nuns were exhausted due to the long walk. Once again they started to look after some other convenient place to sleep. After some time, they saw a classroom in a school which was big enough but was without doors and flooring. They thought of covering the space by some curtain and spending the night there. Seeing the nuns going to such a lonely place a good man advised them not to stay in that place as it was unsafe. Even the guide told them that this was primitive area where due to poverty people drink and goes about stealing at night. They even send the clothes. So they would have to remain very careful and alert. Already the nuns were frightened and after being informed of such facts, their fear grew more intense. But they were helpless due to the darkness they could not go anywhere else. So the eldest nun told the others to lie down and she started chanting the Mantra at the door to avoid any harm and told the nuns that she would awaken them in emergency.
Vinayshreeji spent the Whole night in ‘Japa’. Not a single primitive came to that direction. Thus the Mantra acted as a Lakshaman rekha, a safety line against robber’s entry. Thus, in the safe circle of Mantra they spent the night safely and proceeded for their onward journey, the next day.
