Sadhvi Hulasanji was in Kherawa (Marwar) for her Chaturmas. That year Acharya Shree Tulsi was in Rajsamanda, celebrating the bicentenary function of Terapanth order. It was a historical event of Terapanth order. After the Chaturmas, Acharya Shree reached Aamet for the Maryada Mahotsava, crossing many small and big villages. Therefore, all the groups of monks and nuns also started marching towards Aamet. Sadhvi Hulasanji too wanted to reach Aamet as soon as possible, but the sudden pain in her knees became an obstacle in her way.
On one hand she had a keen desire to visit her guru, and on the other hand her physical ailment disturbed her plan. Though she intended to cover a small distance, it was very difficult for her to cross Desuri valley. Many other difficulties arose but due to the Sadhviji’s strong will-power, the severe pain subsided. The staunch faith in Swamiji inspired and strengthened her to continue with the journey.
When she went up the valley, the severe pain developed in her knee, again. On her way she had to take a halt in a small temple. The doors and windows were made up of mats and the roads were full of wild animals which threatened her peace of mind. All the followers had to stay in an open space due to lack of accommodation. Due to the winter season, they had to face two fierce problems one of fear and other of cold. It was a lonely valley because there were no means of transportation. It was inhabited by freely moving wild animals.
The nuns sat in the corner and all the people sat in the corridor of the temple. Everybody started reciting the Mantra. At short intervals, they heard the roars of the lions and sometime the sound of approaching footsteps. However, to their surprise, though they were weapon less, they passed night fearlessly. They had the only weapon of Mantra for their safety.
In midnight each one of them heard the roars of the lion and after a short while, they saw two lions coming towards them. They all were engrossed in chanting Mantra, but their attention was being diverted by the lions. They were helpless. Both the lions came near the place, looked around and went back to the forest. This return of the lions into the forest was a matter of great surprise. It can be concluded that the spiritual power of the Mantra helped the people to remain calm and tranquil.
