Sadhvi Kalp Lata
This incident is about the younger brother of Ratanlalji Surana, who was a resident of Bhopalgarh. He had six small children. Suddenly, one of the children fell ill with fever and severe pain in the throat. Gradually the child started experiencing difficulty in speaking, eating and drinking. He was given medical treatment, but it proved quite futile. His condition worsened and this made his family members very much worried about him. Everybody was helpless looking at the child who was in immense pain. Then one of his family members spoke out in a loud voice and said, “This is my talisman. Burn the incense, the child will be alright.” It was said that their family god spoke by making one of the family members as his medium. On the basis of this belief, all of them thought perhaps it were their ‘god’ who was giving them this message that the child would be alright if they did what they were asked to do. With great faith they tied the talisman and burnt the incense. But there was no improvement in the child’s condition. Every moment it seemed that the child was hinging between life and death.
Unfortunately the rhythm of life broke and his family members accepted this as their destiny. Within five days of this incident, similar symptoms were seen in another child of the same family. Likewise, two more children fell victims to the same ailment and within a span of two weeks; death claimed the lives of three more children.
When the 5th child came under such attack, everyone’s patience gave away. The news of this happening spread in the entire town. On the same day, Sadhvi Kamaluji came to Bhopalgarh. Learning about this incident from the devotees, she went to visit the Surana family. She found the family in deep grief and sorrow. On seeing her, everybody burst into tears and the whole family sat down to narrate the story. Sadhviji studied the grave state of the ailing child. Then and there, she started chanting the Mantra, ‘Om Bhikshu’. The house was reverberating with the vibration of Om Bhikshu. Soon there was a change in the condition of the ailing child. One could easily see the signs of recovery. She told the family members, “All this is happening due to the influence of some evil force. At this time of distress fasten yourself to the Mantra and enhance your way clear.” Each one was engrossed in the uttering of the powerful Mantra. As usual the evil spirit came on its visit but could not cast its harmful spell. The Mantra was too powerful for it. The night passed away without any trouble. The child was already feeling quite well. The pain in his throat had subsided and he was talking to his parents. The seed of hope had started sprouting in the hearts of the family members. They continued thier Japa with renewed vigour.
