Yoga A New Life Style: Shavanasana

Asanas which are performed lying down are called Shavanasana. These are as follows:

Sleeping Posture

Shavanasana (Kayotsarg)

Uthanpadasana

3.

Pavanamuktasana

4.

Sarvangasan

5.

Halasana

6.

Karnapidasana

7.

Matsyasana

8.

Makarasana

9.

Bhujangasana

10.

Shalabhasana

11.

Dhanurasana

12.

Hridaystambhasana

13.

Naukasana

 

 

All above asanas are performed by lying down on stomach (prone position) or back (supine position). Holding the various positions as instructed benefits practitioner tremendously. He is relived of mental and physical fatigue and feels healthy and active.
