Acharanga Bhasyam: Verse 13 @ HereNow4U

9.3.13 sūro saṃgāmasīse vā, saṃbuḍe tattha se mahāvīre.
paḍisevamāṇe pharusāiṃ, acale bhagavaṃ rīitthā..

Like an armoured hero at the head of the battle, Lord MahāvTra was armoured with self-restraint. He tolerated all hardships, remaining unmoved from meditation and continued his travels.

Bhāṣyaṃ Verse 13

The Lord, guarding himself with the armour of inhibition, tolerated all severe hardships and remained unmoved in his meditation. He was unmoved and unperturbed like a rock.^[1]

Not all people inhabiting the Lādha countryside were ill-tempered; they were, however, some good-natured people there as well. There were those who were very impulsive. These would remove the Bhagavān from his seat. Even so the Bhagavān would not bedispleased. Seeing that he maintained a sweet evenness of temper, their hearts would change, and they would apologise to him for their nonchalant insolence. The ill-natured ones, however, did not evince any change of heart.
