In this connection, let us think of preventing the disease. The Allopathic system regards germs, viruses etc. as the external factors resulting in illness. Except in the case of accidents, these are considered to be the main causes of the diseases affecting the body. Homeopathy attributes diseases to other causes. The nature cure system regards only one thing as the cause of diseases the heterogeneous substances in the stomach or in the body, when they combine, they become the cause of the diseases. When those heterogeneous substances get separated, it results in good health. Various approaches have been adopted. If we think about the causes of the diseases keeping Mahavira in mind, the first thing we shall have to acknowledge is that an unhappy person experiences unhappiness. It has to be presumed that a man is Patient. A healthy person can never be affected by a disease. Only a patient suffers from the ailment. There is one type of a disease which becomes manifest. There isanother type of a disease which is latent and does not become manifest. The main cause of such a disease is the world of emotions, consisting of anger, pride, deceit, misery, fear, hatred, makes the patient vulnerable to a disease. Such emotions always keep the patient in a state of ill health. When a person is affected by a disease, his vital forces would also be weaker.
