The next question is about the paryapti with regard to the body. Man creates obstruction even in the paryapti with regard to the body. There is an expression in popular language meaning the shifting of the navel. Whether one believes it or not, but it is the fact that, when the navel shifts from its place, the whole system is disturbed. Once it is restored to its place, the person becomes immediately healthy. This is a matter proved by experiment and experience, whether science accepts it or not. I do not believe that what is said in science is the ultimate truth and the other thing is false. Why should we not accept whatever is happening before one eyes? It is immaterial if scripture accepts it or not. Why should we not accept what happens, before our eyes? Let us not be tied down to any scripture. We shall not reject it when there is some evident benefit. Now the question is: When is there an obstruction in the paryapti regarding the body? Anyobstruction comes only through illness. It comes through any food, which causes illness. The obstruction also comes through unrestraint or over-excitement of the instincts. It has been said that the navel has the place of the kayavyuha (body structure). On meditating carefully on it one finds as to what the wind, the bile’s and cough do to our body? Is there harmony between them or disharmony? If there is harmony, it means health and if there is disharmony, there is illness. We also learn about the condition and the other particles of the body.
