There is a deep connection between non-violence and the rise of all. If there is absence of non-violence then there would be no rise of all and if all do not rise there would be no non-violence. The meaning of the rise of all means everyone must raise. It is only possible through non-violence. This way non-violence can be established when every individual rises and becomes ready to transform.
Transformation of Heart and Non-Violence
The question is what can lay the edifice of establishing non-violence in every individual? To establish non-violence in every individual the only way is transformation of one’s heart. Without transforming one’s heart non-violence would never be established in the first place and even it happens then it would not last. A breeze of self-interest temptation and fear will blow it away. But if it is established through transformation of heart then it would remain unperturbed even in the hostile most situations. Transformation of heart is a state which augments one’s strength to a great extent. If one’s strength increases extraordinarily then a person never leaves the ground of non-violence even if he encounters great temptation, vested interest and fear. No matter what great interest is fulfilled a person never takes the support of violence.
Non-Violence must reflect in Behaviour
It is good that people have developed faith in non-violence. But this faith must not remain confined to being an ideal only; its owner can never be truly manifested unless it becomes a part of one's behaviour.
It is really strange that at the time of fulfilling -one’s vested interest one becomes an individual or asserts individuality and while following non-violence he becomes society oriented. He says, ‘If society changes then I shall be changed too’. This state of mind prevents establishing non-violence. If this barrier is removed that is if the person asserts individuality while following non-violence then he will surely emancipate and rise his own soul and along with him others will also rise. I fervently hope that people would contemplate over this point and start this auspicious journey.
