Sound common sense is very important for development.
In Prakrit and Sanskrit it is called chaalna and nodanaa respectively.

A healthy cow was sitting.
A man bought her and walked her along.
The cow was not keeping pace.
She was not able to walk.

Another traveler walked that way.
On seeing the cow he felt the tug of desire in his heart.
He, wanted to buy it and so asked the owner to make her stand.
The owner said that he had bought the cow when she was sitting and would sell her also when she was sitting.

The traveler told the owner he was not as stupid as him and walked past.
Without chaalna, one can not imagine development or dynamism.
