We know how to argue.
In daily life, we argue a lot.
In the studying and editing of any sacred text, however, its use is very limited.
Where argument turns sweetness into harshness or dries up the sap, we use it.
But where it can open new dimensions of thought, we do not use it.
Consequently, our behaviour is rough and intellectual development stunted.
