1st April

Today I met the Dean of the Jain Vishwa Bharati Sansthan, (Deemed university), Lodhaji,
and told him, "Follow the principles of ahimsa and amity in life."

He asked me, "Is this advice for me?"

I said, " Not just for you, but every professor and lecturer should follow it.
If the one who teaches does not live in accordance with ahimsa, amity and anekant, then there will be a reaction to it.
The teacher who wants to develop the personality of his students and guide them to live in accordance with ahimsa and anekant, but does not himself follow a lifestyle that is based on ahimsa and anekant will create inner turmoil in his students mind.
The student will think: This is a lesson to be read, not to be practiced.
If it was meant to be practiced, then why would the teacher be devoid of such thoughts?
