Can any one person be representative of another?
To be a representative is not an easy job.

He is the representative, who is equal to the chief: mukhyasadrushaha pratinidhihi.
There has been a tradition of transferring qualities from one person to another.
This is a social requirement without which work can not be done.

Similarity is after all, similarity.
There is no suggestion of completeness here.
The suggestion here is of measuring equality.

A lamp can be representative of the sun.
The similarity is in the light shed, not in the size.
Therefore, representation has many angles, not just one.
