Unit 11. Imbibing Values

(With imbibing values, values transform behaviour)


Value makes a human being of great importance.
Without values a human being is like animal

Principle Content

Social Values - Dutifulness and self reliance.
Intellectual Values - Truth, Coordination, Secularism, Unity of Mankind.
Emotional Values - Mental Equilibrium, Patience, Tolerance, Fearlessness.
Moral Values - Altruism, Mercy, Co-existence, Abstinence, Harmony.

  1. Motivation for imbibing values- stories, episodes etc.
  2. Establishment of conduct and personality through values.
  3. Theoretical evaluation study of 16 values: Tolerance, Patience,Kindness, Mercy, Fearlessness, Self-discipline, Self-Dependence, Abstinence, Altruism, Truth, Devotion to duty, Sense of national-responsibility, Unity of Mankind, Mental equilib­rium, Co-existence, Secularism and Harmonious view point.

Practice and Activities

  1. Practice of resoluteness.
  2. Practice contemplation of each value in order -mahapranadhvani, Kayotsarg, Breath perception, Leshya meditation, Contemplation with proper words.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Understanding of values. Analysing self for them..
  2. Develop the values and make it a part of the character.


Unit 12. Non-violence

A peaceful and healthy society is established adopting non-violence.

There are four happy extensions of education of non-violence.
Principle of non-violence is narrative, with which life becomes beautiful.
Change in emotion occurs with love, life of purity becomes the theme and thought. With this, everybody gets the work, then why the family remains hungry
?

Principle Content

  1. The need of non-violence, the solution and diminishing violence.
  2. Distractions in non-violence.
  3. Environmental pollution, non-possessiveness.
  4. Freedom from luxurious living and addictions.

Practice and Activities

  1. Practice of restraint and resolute on desires
  2. Asana, Pranayama
  3. Kayotsarg
  4. Contemplation (fear, anger, attachment, ego)
  5. The practice of environmental cleanliness, support in public awareness

Learning Outcomes

  1. Awakening of the emotion of friendship.
  2. Developing an outlook of environmental cleanliness.
  3. To march forward to limit the desires.
  4. The awakening of kindness towards every person and every creature.
  5. Training violent people.
