The introduction of personality is brought forth by psychology, then why its presumption in Science of Living? In psychology, the definition of personality is limited to body and mind whereas in Science of Living, it is being thought about at the emotional level - beyond body and mind, which is the main element of personality. Even beyond this, the purification of soul becomes the foundation of personality development. In psychology, many definitions are there, but practice of practical activities and critical appraisal is being included in Science of Living.

External personality factors are materialistic and static. Of course these can be recognised most and so there exist attraction for them. Internal personality factors are related to behavior, nature and psychic purity. They are delicate, minute and thus less attractive.

  3. Change in attitude- Refinement of feelings and behavior.

Thus there should be balance in physical health, intellectual health, mental health and emotional health. The outcome from this can be expressed as above.

    Need of personality development

    1. To solve the problems.
    2. To compromise with the situations.

The basis of Personality Development: Science of Living

The first basis of personality development is language. A human being has safeguarded the knowledge by developing the language. Socialism is developed through the language. A human being started expressing himself through the language.

The second sign of personality development of a person is his dressing, for which he uses his own wisdom.

The eating pattern, a third sign of a human being is different than the normal animals. Every living species eat but a human being prepares different types of dishes and makes his food tasty. Then comes the living accommodation - the house is also an introducer of his wisdom. Emotional system of a person  also keeps on developing. In this way the recognition of special personality is through following six performances:-

    1. Style of talking, writing and reading
    2. Style of dressing
    3. Methods of cooking and food habits.
    4. Maintenance of home and self needs.
    5. Emotions and social behavior.
    6. Discipline and regularity.

For the formation of healthy society, all the above aspects have to be developed in such a way that the feeling of mutual friendship grows. The feeling of anger, pride, cheating, greed etc. has to be replaced by awakening forgiveness, respect, simplicity, and non-attachment. As the emotions will change the change in other aspects like language, dressing, food habits, house etc will take place accordingly. The posture of anger will change in the posture of forgiveness or tolerance. The feeling of greed will change into non-attachment. In this way if population of balanced people will increase, the society will start becoming healthy.

With the practices of Science of Living, the change in emotion can take place. The resolute of Science of Living is to build a healthy society. Transformation of the people with healthy personality takes place, when the emotion of tolerance, respect, simplicity and non-attachment develops. The family, social and national organisations functioned by the healthy and balanced personalities will also be healthy and balanced. A teacher should develop his own personality by himself and so also, through the medium of students, create interest in the guardians. The active unit of the society is the teacher and he should imbibe the emotions of tolerance, respect, simplicity and non-attachment. It is very essential to make them as a part of his character. For this, the emotions of anger, pride, illusion and greed are required to be eradicated. This is not possible only by preaching or explaining but for this, certain practices should be adopted to bring a change in the secretions of endocrine glands. Any person can understand the inner feelings only when they are manifested outside. When a person starts perceiving his own instincts and resolves to eradicate them; only then these instincts are eradicated with continuous regular practice. Now few practices are being furnished:
