Faith is the first step towards success. The firm the faith the greater is the possibility of success. Faith is like a peg. Man hangs blueprints of his action points on that peg and is eased from his worries. As long as faith is not firm, wield horses of wishes and fancies; go on making dent on it. Without neutralizing these forces it is difficult for an individual to reach his destination.
Commitment towards a goal does not recognize hurdles that come on the way. A committed individual faces more and more difficult hurdles than a non-committed does. A non-committed individual stops his advances or negotiates a turn when faced with hurdles on his way, whereas a committed person does not make a compromise. He critically examines the ups and downs that come in his way, finds reasons behind them, solves the issues before him and continues his march towards his goal.
All those personalities who have been able to accomplish great jobs had indomitable will power. There cannot be a failure of a committed personality. Once, some able persons were sceptical whether the young boy’s prayer for rain is going be granted. But the young boy had no doubt in the strength of his prayer. He believed firmly that a true prayer is always granted. He went out for prayer with confidence, with faith and an umbrella to rescue him from shower. Some people laughed at him. But when he came out of the prayer hall, it was raining. The firm faith of the young boy astonished all present there.
Twentieth century has its inherent problems. Absence of faith is one such big problem. Absence of faith is a sign of decay; how one can stand without a firm footing. The unethical behaviour of the majority is a matter of great concern. Faithlessness is a serious thing. This is a wrong notion that ethical behaviour cannot sustain life. This is a negative approach. This -negative approach i§ forcefully inducing mind of the masses.
The ethical life of a righteous person hardly appeals us. Preaching moral value has also lost its importance. In such a situation it is necessary that all the righteous persons of the world join hands on some accepted issues and reach out to every household with their message of ethical living. But, again, this is possible only when we work with great faith in mission. If we have great faith in ourselves, in our principles, and in our actions, then the result would certainly come out.
