Man is the most important creature of the world. He appears with some problem. Some problems already exist. Some problems emerge with the circumstances of the age. It is being required that man should sort out these problems by his own intellect, understanding and conscience and ease the path of next generation. But what is happening, that is quite reverse. Solutions are being searched and problems are becoming complex. Inheritance also carries the same. That is why man’s life is becoming problem- proned.
Amongst the problems in the world, the biggest problem is the problem of the values of life. At the time of independence, there was dream in the eyes of citizens—the dream of peaceful and prosperous life. Leaders of the country had also a dream in their eyes——the dream of revival, the dream of providing solidarity and happiness to the country. Four decades of independence have passed. At the onset of fifth decade preparation to enter into twenty first century is the talk of the day. However one or another issue comes out every year and the dreams of citizen and the leaders are suppressed. The talk on the values of life is forgotten and the Journey of life of common people goes ahead to fulfil the insignificant purposes alike livelihood.
Age rotates around morals. Age devoid of morals cannot move steadily. If the person with profound knowledge determine the moral guidelines of the age, the determination of framing correct moral guideline is possible. Otherwise selfishness and facility- oriented attitudes develops. Arhat Rishav was the first man to frame moral principles. He promoted a new age by formulating social morality, political morality and religious morality. After him so many morality came into existence and the chariot of the age moves at its own momentum. Sometimes hindrance penetrated into it, but the move to ease the path by breaking the same continued.
At present the responsibility of deciding the morality is not handled by any prudent and knowledgeable person. Therefore, the moral guideline of the age is not linked with morals of life. Morals of life are related with the values of life and with the national character. Unless the light of values is not spread in the dark streets of life, public-life cannot get itself assured. In the proclamation made in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabhas in 1989 and 1990, so many assurances have been uttered, but nowhere values of life and national character have been mentioned. Problem with which the central and state governments are confronting today, whether the said situation is not active behind it. In this context, once neutral introspection -is required. Whether person of all sections are prepared for it?
