The Support Of Faith: 41 ►Where is the Source of Violence?

Published: 19.02.2020

Burning question of today is how the violence of Punjab can be stopped? There is violence in Punjab—it is a fact. But whether only Punjab is burning in the fire of violence. What is happening in Assam? What is happening in Sri Lanka? What is happening in Bihar? Since Punjab is our neighbouring state, so its violence is visible to us, but due to invisibility, can we overlook the violence being committed in other parts of the country.

People are being killed in Punjab. So common men are perturbed. Whether animals are not being butchered in other parts of the country? Killing either men or animals, enhances violence. Ten or twenty men are killed whereas thousands of animals are being butchered every day. Why nobody raised voice against violence?

A new fashion has emerged in the latter-half of twentieth century. That is the killing of foetus. Ladies of prosperous families, supposing themselves as modem, get their child examined and get the undesired child aborted. Who is undesired? Any child, who is handicapped or affected by infectious disease, is not an undesired child. Undesired is the girl child. Whether the affectionate feeling of mother has dried up? Mother, who does not bother to take care of a child even if it is like a stone-piece, is killing a healthy child and who may has enormous prospects is not it violence?

People who are thinking about violence should not forget the fact that basic problem is not violence. The basic cause of the Problem is money and power. What the terrorists of Punjab are doing? They are robbing banks somewhere and raising slogan for Khalistan elsewhere. Whether these issues have been discussed seriously?

Until money and power overpowers the mentality of men, non- vegetarian people will exist in the world,’ the discrimination between son and daughter is eliminated. Violence will be prevailing in newer form. Until the root of poisonous tree is not curtailed, what is the use of curtailing leaves and branches? Until the basic causes of violence are not demolished, how the violent incidents can be stopped?
