To practice religion is one thing. Perfection in the pursuit of religion is an altogether different thing.
Four criteria have been identified to achieve such perfection:

1. Generosity
2. Efficiency
3. Hatred towards sin.
4. Pure knowledge.

When one attains the stage of perfection in religion, stinginess reduces and generosity increases.
Efficiency is manifest in every action.
The state of Yogaha karmasu kaushalam… presents itself.
A kind of hatred begins to arise against sin..
Knowledge free from attachment and aversion becomes pure.

Perfection in religion is the most perfect of perfections.
