Sunlight and shade are connected.
Where is the demarcation between the two?
Where is the demarcation between light and darkness?
Scorched by the sun, a man goes to sit in the shade.
He himself draws the line of demarcation.
A person walking in the light wanders into the darkness.
He understands for himself the demarcation between the two.
An object's nature carves out a separate existence for itself.
So that becomes its demarcating factor.

We should try to understand the nature of the object.

Do not just see the sloughs, but look for the snake within.
