If you feel like asking me the definition of happiness, I would say equanimity is the answer.
Where there is equanimity there is happiness.
Where there are fluctuations, there is unhappiness.

If you want to ask me, who is happy then my answer would be that the one in whom the attribute of equanimity is developed, he is happy.

Gain and loss, happiness and unhappiness, life and death, praise and condemnation, respect and disrespect:
the man who is balanced in all these five pairs is the one who can be happy.
