It is well known that food gives nutrition.
If food alone gives nutrition then everybody would be healthy and happy and nobody would be ill or unhappy.
Energy nourishes more than food does.
When the Guru places his hand on the disciple's head, his grace gives more nourishment than a hundred hearty meals.
Some people call this the flow of energy from the Guru's fingers, eyes and speech that transforms the disciple.
That is why nourishment should not be viewed as limited to food.
